First annual drunken Marriott stair climb!!!

So, I posted something like this last year also.  I ended up not even being able to do it(because I hurt my knee the first night).

A couple years ago at *con, I decided to have a random drunken race with some guy I met on the Atrium level of the Marriott.  It was basically just, "Lets see who can get to the top level first".

I kinda want to make an event out of this.  I believe it could be fun..., especially the more people we get involved.

Anyone else even moderately interested in doing something like this?

I would probably be dead by the 10th floor.

I can't decide if this sounds awesome or terrible.  One the one hand a bunch of drunken nerds scrambling up the stairs is funny.  On the other hand, stairs and lots of them, and drunk people is kind of a recipe for injuries.

HA!  No promises here, but sounds interesting.   I still think DC should have an official 5k before the parade..that I would be more likely to take part in.

@DcC, I was surprised I made it to the top..., really surprised.

@Zaepho, I think the "drunk" part kept me from getting hurt..., or at least kept me from feeling it till the next day.   Needless to say, it doesn't necessarily need to be a "drunk" race.

I'm usually too drunk to properly use the elevators. Still, it does sound interesting.

That sounds brilliant. I think Arisia (a con in Boston) used to do something like this when it was held in a super-staircase-heavy hotel.

I remember a similar discussion last year.  I take the stairs more than I like because of my issue.
I would die if I tried this. 

Hah, heck yea.

Much better participation rate than last year.  If I get a couple more "yes's".  I'm definitely going to try to arrange something.

Yeah, last year is was the stairs, from lobby to top, in all 5 host hotels.  Over the course of the weekend.
