Could be later..., maybe after whatever bands are playing that night.  If people want to vacate the ballrooms for a bit, do this thing, then head back to the dances..., or whatever other people do in the middle of the night.

Was anything ever decided on this, or did evryone take time to think about it and realized how bad an idea it would be.   ;D

I still think i would laugh the whole way to the top tenth floor at best.

I would be willing to do this sometime on Thursday (after M&G but before ABC Party) or late Monday. Probably somewhere between meet and greet and ABC Party. It'd be a bit of a pain to deal with going back to my room and showering on one of the regular nights.

I guess I'll mention it later at the M&G, to discuss a day/time to do it.

Might need to make base camp on the 10th floor and go for the summit in the morning. ;P

Everest rules apply...if somebody run out of steam and can't go on, it's okay to leave them to die.

So once we reach the top can we just parachute down?
Fun fact most people die on the way down from mountain peaks.

What do we say to the god of death? not today...

Drunkenly stumble up the stairs with a group of like-sobriety(ed?) people...yes!  Drunkenly RACE up the stairs with a group of like-sobriety(ed?) people...not so much!   :P

I think the wife and I would definitely get together with you all if this becomes a thing (the stumbling not the racing) hehe

Fine..., I love that people actually wanna do this with me.

Now to try to decide a good time.

Thursday Night: 10pm?    Friday or Saturday night: 10pm - 1am (sometime in the middle)?

Sunday..., most of us would probably be too tired to make it half way up.

What say you?

We're only going to be able to go Saturday so if you all do something then we'll definitely make an effort to hook up with everyone...

I'll keep an eye on this.
Got local races up Kennesaw Mtn in Sept and up Currahee Mtn (Band of Brothers fame) in Oct.
Not sure this would serve as training but sure sounds fun on a few beers  ::)

So, I posted something like this last year also.  I ended up not even being able to do it(because I hurt my knee the first night).

A couple years ago at *con, I decided to have a random drunken race with some guy I met on the Atrium level of the Marriott.  It was basically just, "Lets see who can get to the top level first".

I kinda want to make an event out of this.  I believe it could be fun..., especially the more people we get involved.

Anyone else even moderately interested in doing something like this?

I think you should do this every year.  Walk up the stairs a few flights, then go take the elevator.  Nobody said you had to use the stairs.

Sadly, this didn't happen.
Or, at least I wasn't able to be involved, if people did end up doing it.

I lost my phone Thursday night, and wasn't able to keep up with the page... or anything for that matter.
