Cheapest Travel Fare You'll Find

Cheapest Travel Fare You'll Find
« on: July 10, 2012, 01:09:22 PM »
Just a tip for anyone else planning to go to Dragon*Con and is searching for cheap travel fares. I had a friend that gave me info about Megabus, www.megabus.com my entire trip even though I'm having to take 2 buses there, and 2 back it is only going to run me about $30 roundtrip compared to Greyhound which would have cost me $150 roundtrip.

Also try www.Boltbus.com, www.fungwahbus.com, www.luckystarbus.com. Not sure about service to Atlanta, but I can generally go from Boston to NYC with free wifi for about $15 each way.  Bolt bus is the best, then megabus, then the chinese buses are about equal in comfort.

Bolt and Megabus are pretty much the same when it comes to cost.  Both are good. I wouldn't hesitate to take Megabus!  I believe they have free wifi too and both I think have plugs for laptops and phones.

It's going to be tricky and I'll be in Memphis for the day but I got my roundtrip travel for $13 to Atlanta and back.

Absolutely!! I would too suck it up and just take the bus for $13! Thats outrageous.
You can barely even buy lunch for that much anymore.

I am actually flying and was lucky enough to find a price error on United Airlines that was live for about two hours about four months ago and then they fixed it.
I am paying $139 round trip (all taxes included) from Boston to Atlanta with a 1 hour layover each way in Newark.  $49 each way plus taxes/fees!  My same flight now is in the $300s and the price has been that way since I booked.  I searched the web to see if I could find a promotion listed for my fare too..nothing. Had to be an error. Probably something to do with them buying Continental and merging their booking systems. Anyway, I haven't seen pricing like that in 12 years.
