Hilton and marriot have rooms available to book

Hilton and marriot have rooms available to book
« on: August 02, 2018, 08:46:53 AM »
Just checked out of curiousity.

As of about 5 minutes ago:
It looks like the Hilton has rooms in the 350 to 400 per night range depending on bed count and #of days.

Marriot has rooms available in the range of 575 - 650.

I considered snagging one myself, but I'm currently looking for a roomshare myself because those prices are way too out of my range to want to risk booking.  If I couldn't find a roommate I can't in justify risking spending that kind of money right now, but I thought I'd share that there are some available in case anyone else was interested.

PS.  If anyone does book one of those Hilton rooms and wants a roommate feel free to hit me up 😁...

rumors on facebook are you can use the Dragon Con codes (DRADRAD, DRADRAT, DRADRAQ, or DRADRAA (for double, triple, quad, or single, respectively) under Special Rates to get the DC rate.)

But I couldn't get the codes to work just now,  it looks to me now that they only have suites available.

Tried those codes just now.

Hilton site only accepts 6 letter group codes (so only "dradra") but says the discount rate is not available, but still shows available rooms at 400ish for a double thu-mon.  That's listing 4 adults.  If only 1 adult it goes down to like 360 or so, but I do the know if you'd be able to get away with filling up a 1 person room (maybe somebody else has done it and can vouch it's safe?)

The Marriot website is acting broken currently.  Doing a rates search with or without codes returns an error page saying "something went wrong" or similar and won't even load results.  Various booking sites (booking.com, etc) still seem to list available kings, doubles, and suites for with doubles at like 572/night for thu-mon.

My husband and I are looking for a room or to be roommates as long as we have an actual bed but I refuse to pay more than $300 a night for a room before taxes if it's just the two of us. This price gouging is ridiculous.

I actually found a transfer at a decent rate and I'm looking to fill the room.  There is bedspace available

I was just about to message you but my husband just booked a room at the Marriott. He called to see if con rate was available and was able to get a room for $275 a night. He just promised me he's going to work more overtime to make up for it.

Congrats.  Nice snag.  Paying the same at the hilton (before tax).  I personally rather be in marriott too, center of the action and all.    Wanna trade? lol   ;D :P

well, if you come across anyone else needing a spot to crash feel free to send em my way
