A couple of years ago a few Dragon*Con fans started an unofficial D*C Wiki. And you can join them!

Amidst the tens of thousands of attendees each year there must be a wealth of knowledge. Advice for travelling, tips for saving money, suggestions for getting the most out of a panel, or those delicious little secrets that make you feel so elite in comparison to the convention noobie proletariat. With any luck, this wiki will collect a great deal of those goodies and dispense them magnanimously on your behalf.

The wiki has a lot of love to dish out for the inexperienced, but it needs a lot of love from the grizzled, jaded veterans too. And for those that are just too bitter to go on (so, so bitter), a few of us have also put together some satirical articles that are good for a laugh.

Right now the thing mostly needs
  • Updates on all the track pages, like a synopsis, websites, etc.
  • Listings for assorted charity events, with volunteer info where applicable.
  • Advice from the veterans regarding choosing hotels/overflow hotels, with details on what to expect staying at each.
  • Or if you just want to list your own event, well, post that too! Parties are especially welcome.

If you think it's a great idea and want to contribute, I have a page of ideas to inspire you. Or if you're more the supervisor type, you can add ideas to that page.

As an added bonus, if you sign up now and want to begin depositing your nuggets of wisdom, I'll happily assist on getting all that thar fancy formatting correct so you can look like a pro from the get-go.
