Protip: New shoes?  Purchase some good insoles and begin breaking those suckers in.  Will save your feet tremendously during the con.

Pro tip: Start packing now. If nothing else get a laundry basket, and as you think of those things that your like "I need to remember to bring this", throw them in the basket. That way your less likely to forget to bring it later. Also, always have a packing list of your own + look at others. Theres always something that you might not think of.

start checking the electronics/batteries/memory cards now; nothing like finding out the camera doesn't work or you forgot the phone charging cable in the middle of north carolina on your way down.  :P  (especially if any of it is a special order or hard-to-find.)
"You and I remember Budapest very differently."

"I like feet."

"Am I being tangible? ...Gary?"

"How quickly can we buy this building?"

"More drinking. Less feeling."

I carry a pack of Snacks and Water around with me . I also put an Ipad/ Ipod / Book in there so i have something do while I am in line. Which can be often.

I like to plan ahead so when the schedule comes out I make a plan of activities with alternates (should a panel fill up). Not required to have a good time but you will get the most out of Con by planning ahead.

Protip: The ConSuite.  The ConSuite is located at the Hyatt in rooms 223 & 226.  A place to get free food/snacks and a number of (non-alcoholic) drinks, 24 hours a day after the con begins.  Nice place to relax and socialize during the day.

Good Pro-Tip for AT the con... but what about now, two weeks before the Con?

Protips:

1. Create a lock screen or wallpaper on your phone that displays your contact info. This way if your phone gets lost and a good samaritan finds it your phone it will be easier to get it back.  To create one just open an app that lets you type notes, type all the contact info you want to display, take a screenshot of the text, and then set the screenshot as your lock screen or wallpaper.

2. Write down all debit and credit card numbers as well as customer service numbers for those accounts in the event of lost or stolen cards.  Will save your tail and give you peace of mind in the event you have call and cancel them.

Treat it like a foreign vacation.

1.  I make photocopies of my debit, credit cards, and insurance cards.

2.  only bring 1 debit card + 1 credit card with you to the Con. Leave the others at home.

3.  Remember you need a photo idea if you fly and usually for check in.

4.  There are several banks and ATMs around the Con Hotels. But remember it is a long Holiday weekend.  Typically the close ATMs in the hotels and Peachtree center run out. Bring cash with you or hit the ATMs early.

5.  Having said that, most of the local restaurants and most dealers take debit cards.

6. For iphones- download find iPhone app to your phone.
