Title: Peachtree Center Food Court
Post by: RamblinRed on August 24, 2018, 12:22:42 PM
As an FYI from someone who works downtown. Th Peachtree Center Mall is in the middle of a remodel/expansion. But what that means for this year is much more limited seating in the food court area.

Keep that in mind when going to get food there. Most of the known restaurants there are still open, but the number of places to sit after you get food is much more limited right now than in past years.

it looks like they're planning to bring in tables and chairs and put them in some of the empty storefronts/retuarants.  otherwise, how does it look?  i always thought it was fine, but i didn't realize it leaked and had other structural issues...

Im sorry but please dont spread this stuff. Peachtree center has stated there will be plenty of seating multiple times. This has been discussed in excess on Facebook. Myself, DragonCon and others have directly asked about it. Regardless, even if we dont have enough seating starting premature panic offers no benefits.

Who needs the food court.  Alcohol is loaded with plenty of life sustaining calories.  Beer is made from whole grains, and everyone knows whole grains are good for you.  Screwdrivers have vitamin C.  Bloody Mary's are loaded with andltioxidants.  The quinine in a g&t is supposed to treat and prevent cramps, plus it's effective at treating malaria, so if you don't have malaria quinine is sure to give you superpowers.  Or something like that.

It honestly didn't feel that terrible to us this year.  There were few times we decided to take food back to our rooms, but we would have done so in any other year as well since it was peak lunch/dinner rush hour when that occurred.
