$105 through 02/09/2018
$115 through 05/11/2018

Is DCon expected to grow as large as SDCC? The numbers increase every year.
And, will membership prices become so expensive how will the average family of four be able to afford it?

Prices have actually not risen much. In 2013 a full con badge was $130  only about $6 increase a year. The way to afford it is it buy your badge early. Kids get in free till they hit 7 years old. Also most people dont bring their young kids. My friends don’t let their kids go until they can pay for their own badge.

You can not compare DragonCon to comic con. Two different kinds of conventions and tbh you get so much more for your money for DragonCon IMO. Eventually they may get as big but really DragonCon seem to be aiming for that either.

I hope it doesn't continue to grow. It's too big now and has really changed for the worse with the growth.

i don't think DC could ever go over 100k; they'd have to book more hotels and twice the space in america's mart.  i don't know if they can actually afford that.

I know it was a lot more fun and costumer heavy at 45,000 than it is at 81,000.

I heard the numbers this year were a little short of last year with 80K vs. 85K.   I'd venture a guess as not as many Saturday only badges sold to parade goers/football fans as it felt like there were much fewer of them wandering around the convention this year.
