--and the "wait--the [___] track schedule is wrong..." posts are also coming out.  probably wouldn't hurt to keep an eye on the LJ as the track directors weigh (or inveigh, as may be the case) in.  ;)

so, not to veer off topic already, but do we know why there are things in the printed program that are not in the (iPhone) app?  (i even uninstalled and reinstalled it.)

oh well, i knew i'd be poring over the paper version and likely carrying it around with me regardless.  :D

Given how early this has come out, I am slightly suspicious of it. As we know, D*C events tend to change right up to when the actually happen.

As far as the app, I would imagine it takes more effort to add to the app, ergo taking more time. I guess,

Yay!

I am a bit worried about some events that still aren't added to the app.  And Richard Dean Anderson still isn't added, either!

I need to put together my schedule, but I'm pretty busy at work this week  :-\

HA! Yes I know what you mean. I usually go into "con autopilot" about 2 weeks out from the con. Basically just going through the motions until I get to the Con.

^ Glad I'm not the only one...my Boss even asks me every now and then "how many more days?"

I've found that the app is being updated multiple times a day so it looks to be very accurate so far.

It took a bit, but it looks like it is finally up-to-date for me.  My schedule got messed up, so to be safe I uninstalled and re-installed.  I think that helped out with my problems.

The descriptions in the app or in the program tend to tell you who is in a panel. That said, I have not looked at the pocket program download yet. The app's descriptions are pretty good, at lease for what i've seen.

If you look at the very end of each description from the Pocket Program, it'll tell you which guest is taking part in it. Another way is to look at the alphabetical guest listing at the end of the program, and it'll tell you which panels they'll do during the course of the weekend.

Fanmade MS Office 2007 Excel version of Pocket Program.
« Reply #14 on: August 24, 2012, 11:05:24 AM »
I have attached a Zip file with a MS Office 2007 Excel (.xlsx) version of the recently released 2012 Dragon@Con Pocket Program.  I prefer Excel to Google Docs files and I do not have any version of smart phone or pod or whatever.  I created it for my own use and figured that other folks might prefer this format.

It is definitely not official, so any discrepancies should be ruled in favor of Dragon@Con provided materials.

I added separate columns for fan track, hotel, room, and event.  In many cases (i.e. where I had an interest) I added the names of guest panelists and Film Festival screenings to the panel names. I also color-coded the hotels and their rooms to make them easier to identify.

There is a MasterSchedule sheet with all 4 days.  There are dynamic links to separate worksheets for each day, so if you change the MasterSchedule then that day's worksheet text updates.  But only the text, not the color formats.  The file is not that sophisticated.  See the Notes tab for, well, notes.

It is up-to-date as of Thur Aug 23 at 2:45 pm EST.  I am not planning on updating this file beyond this point.  Feel free to download it and make it your own.
