That's too bad, because I'm all out of the wild hog sausage that I brought back from south Georgia this year.

Look bro, I was just messing with you a little. That okay??

Muerandah and I are carnivores, but I do eat veggies. However I have to mix meat with them. I typically have the chef julienne them and fry them with bacon. She won't even do that.

Seriously if there are non meat eaters coming we would like to know and have no problem accommodating y'all. We just need to know, and need to pretty fast. Our shopping plan is Wednesday at Fort McPherson.

~sadness~

So where in South Georgia. I might like to spear a boar with you, or shoot one from a tree...

I spent a weekend+ in Adell/Hahira last Summer but it wasn't hunting season. Or are boars open season?

I don't have many good hogs on my place (thank grace) but I do have a nice white tail herd, and lot's of turkeys. Unfortunately turkeys are Spring season only here. Really s's.

Late and need to move on. We will talk more at D*Con. I will try to save a wee dram for us to have on the balcony. BTW, do you enjoy cigars?

We (my father and I) usually go down to some family land in Bainbridge, GA in the southwest corner of the state to hunt hogs; there's no closed season on private land in the state.  I've never hunted on managed, or public land, but I assume that there are seasonal restrictions when you go that route.  It's fun, but it can be terrifying if you get caught off guard.

There's a festival every Thanksgiving in Climax (a short distance from Bainbridge) called "Swine Time" where you can see a pig turned into everything from fried rinds, to chitterlings, to ham and bacon (ready-to-eat).  My wife hates it, but I think it's fascinating.

I can't wait to meet everyone.  I've been known to smoke a cigar, but I'm no snob about the quality or strength of the tobacco.  I'm a little too young to pull off a pipe (I don't want to look like a pretentious weirdo), but I think that I'd like to take up smoking one in a few years.

This will be my fifth DC, but they are spread out over about 12 years.  I haven't been since 2006.  I work in retail management so I'm usually on-duty for the weekend sales, but this year I'm a victim of the recession (boo hoo).  Fortunately I have enough saved up that I can look forward to the Con to lift my spirits and lift some spirits and meet some spriits - okay I've used that pun up.

I've met some great people over the years, but since I don't attend regularly, I've lost touch with all of them, so its time to meet some more great people this year.

I'm a big Doctor Who fan and used to be a big Buffy fan.  I used to moderate a forum on an overseas site for Doctor Who, before the new series started - I know, wierd eh?.... A Yank mod'ing DrWho, but no one else wanted to do it maybe since there were no new episodes being made.  And I used to mod a Buffy forum during the fourth and fifth season for that same site and write synopses for another.

But like a lot of people I don't get too bogged down in discussions much any more, I mostly go for the acts, the films, the music and the party.  I actually call it - Mardi Gras in Atlanta.

I'm a local.  I'll be there Friday after rush hour without a badge to enjoy the photo op of people arriving in costume and soak in the party atmosphere.  Then Saturday I'll get my badge for the rest of the weekend.

I'll be dressed in a lab coat with a silly ID badge, like Dr. B. Wolf, UNIT science advisor (DrWho).  I'll use my user name on my DC badge.  If you see me give me a shout-out.

Hope to see y'all there.
