That's too bad, because I'm all out of the wild hog sausage that I brought back from south Georgia this year.
This will be my fifth DC, but they are spread out over about 12 years. I haven't been since 2006. I work in retail management so I'm usually on-duty for the weekend sales, but this year I'm a victim of the recession (boo hoo). Fortunately I have enough saved up that I can look forward to the Con to lift my spirits and lift some spirits and meet some spriits - okay I've used that pun up.I've met some great people over the years, but since I don't attend regularly, I've lost touch with all of them, so its time to meet some more great people this year.I'm a big Doctor Who fan and used to be a big Buffy fan. I used to moderate a forum on an overseas site for Doctor Who, before the new series started - I know, wierd eh?.... A Yank mod'ing DrWho, but no one else wanted to do it maybe since there were no new episodes being made. And I used to mod a Buffy forum during the fourth and fifth season for that same site and write synopses for another. But like a lot of people I don't get too bogged down in discussions much any more, I mostly go for the acts, the films, the music and the party. I actually call it - Mardi Gras in Atlanta.I'm a local. I'll be there Friday after rush hour without a badge to enjoy the photo op of people arriving in costume and soak in the party atmosphere. Then Saturday I'll get my badge for the rest of the weekend.I'll be dressed in a lab coat with a silly ID badge, like Dr. B. Wolf, UNIT science advisor (DrWho). I'll use my user name on my DC badge. If you see me give me a shout-out.Hope to see y'all there.
