Morie’s Path Inc.’s Gateways of Destiny is new medieval fantasy Live Action Role Playing game (LARP) in Georgia. We are looking for volunteers to help entertain our players for the 2009 season. We are looking for two types of staff.

The following is an overview of ‘Weaver’ position:

General Overview of ‘Weaver’ Candidates:

Candidates should be familiar with what a LARP is and should be comfortable in a LARP environment, either by working in a staff capacity for another LARP or by being a player.

Candidates should be comfortable role playing in large or small group with a variety of types of people.

Candidates should be familiar with various different types of LARP Rules System and must be comfortable learning a new classless/tagless/per combat LARP rules system. Candidates will be tested and expected to know both the Rules System and the game world.

Candidates must be willing to attend two (2) scheduled five hour Development Meetings a month. (These are generally on Saturdays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.)

Candidates will be required to attend our monthly events. Events are held one weekend a month. Weavers will be required to be onsite at 8:00 pm of the Friday and will be required to stay until 6:00 pm Sunday. Lodging for Friday and Saturday night will be provided in a rustic cabin, and all meals for Saturday and Sunday will be provided.

Candidates should be comfortable being in LARP combat with boffer weapons. This is NOT a full combat LARP. Candidates will be physically tested on the combat system and expected to perform a sample combat with the Master Weaver.

Candidates will be required to be comfortable writing short stories (OSAs: About 1-3 pages).

Candidates should be comfortable taking directions from the Master Weaver and must be able to meet deadlines.

Table top role playing experience a plus. Website development a plus. If any candidate has any other additional unique, or ‘LARP’ friendly skills (seamstress, armorsmith, boffersmith, etc.) please list in the introduction letter listed below.

Candidate will be required to sign a legal ‘Confidentiality’ agreement and a 'Non-Compete' agreement. This is non-negotiable.

This is a volunteer position. It is not paid for the 2009 season, but the events are free for Weavers and it is an excellent way to get involved and make new friends with like minded individuals. Weaver positions may be paid a small sum starting mid 2010 season.

Training for the 2009 season will begin January 2009. If interested, please send an introduction letter, your resume, and a ‘LARP/Gaming’ resume ASAP to our Gateways of Destiny Office Manager at . A limited number of Weaver positions are available, and interview times are filling up fast. If you are interested, we encourage you to send your information immediately.
Your destiny awaits....
